🎃Pumpkin Math 🎃 is always a great time in room 111! The students work in groups to complete math activities using a pumpkin. Measuring, weighing, estimating, skip counting… just to name a few! Getting messy is the best part! @WeRStokes

Since it’s National Dot Day, we read the story, The Dot, by Peter Reynolds. The children made their mark by water-painting their very own dot. @WeRStokes

Today we read the book, The Sunflower House, by Eve Bunting and identified details that happened in the beginning, middle, and the end, while creating a flip book. Mrs. Rosen showed the students where sunflower seeds come from by bringing in a real sunflower from her garden. 🌻

Our class loved reading the book, Primo, by Duncan Tonatiuh. The students worked in groups to compare/contrast the characters in the story who are long distance cousins. Thank you Mrs. Ackerman for adding this book to our “principal pick” section of our class library! @WeRStokes
