So pleased for @PadraigMacaoidh - he very kindly provided translations for some of the Gaelic poems in this bumper collection, the first in the @OWC_Oxford series to feature Gaelic, as far as I’m aware. https://t.co/aLCIugXI9z

Congratulations to @PadraigMacaoidh [Peter Mackay] on his appointment as Scotland's new Makar (National Poet). Pàdraig is the first Scottish Gaelic poet in the role. He recorded Crann-cuinnse [Quince Tree] to promote the announcement. You can read his poems here 👇

Did you know that Mary Ann Baxter, the daughter of the family who Mary Shelley stayed with in Dundee, was on of the principal benefactors for the University College, later the University of Dundee? Her portrait is in the Global Room! #GothicWomen

Delighted to have received my editor's copies of 'Life at the Margins in Early Modern Scotland'. Inordinately proud of this book, which not only breaks new ground, but also showcases lots of brilliant young scholars. Thanks to them all, especially @Sus_Weston, my co-editor.
