IS EBAY ANTI-AI? eBay updated its terms to ban “buy-for-me” AI shopping agents that place purchases for buyers (unless approved). The same update also bans using automated tools to access eBay (robots/scrapers/data miners/LLM bots) without eBay’s permission.

EBAY SAYS WEATHER/CARRIER DELAYS WON’T COUNT AGAINST YOU If you meet your handling time, eBay says they’ll credit on-time shipping even when USPS/UPS is late. They’ll also auto-adjust delivery estimates by ZIP. Dropshippers: order fast + upload tracking ASAP.

When everything is right on your end- The customer service issues can resolve themselves.

DO YOU NEED AN LLC TO DROPSHIP? No. Start as an individual/sole prop. LLC = protects your personal assets if the business gets sued or goes into debt. Licenses vary by state/country. Platforms don’t require it, but taxes still apply. (Not legal advice.)

EBAY JUST RELEASED BETTER BOOKKEEPING Seller Hub now has a new “Your Cost” field Add what you paid for the item (your supplier cost). When it sells, eBay shows Your Cost next to your net order earnings. Even on offers: you’ll see offer price + your cost before you accept.
