Delivery Zone 2.0 for hurling. Different take on the same game focusing on delivering the ball into the forwards. Nice lay out to facilitate two games running concurrently = whole panel working. Fell free to RT & Share. #GAA

One for the keepers today. This one I modified from a Hockey goalie drill. Works really well with 4 but 3 works too in a triangle. Majority of goals are scored from less than 14m away so don't be afraid to keep it tight. Cups recommended for men

A simple shooting activity designed for younger teams but could also be used as part of a warm up for senior teams. Blues start with a ball and shoot on the run, their partners in yellow retrieve and shoot back. Players can alter the angle or distance they shoot from.

How often in training do you focus on set plays? Roughly 60 puckouts total per game, 20-30 frees 1/3 of them normally outside scoring range, sidelines, throw balls and 65's.

A game that really tests players, physically, mentally and tactically. I'd recommend only a couple of minutes before taking a break as this is tough. It puts a bit of pressure on the keeper too to watch two games simultaneously

Everyone is keen to get back to games and in particular full 15-a-side games, but what do you do if you don't have 30 players? Backs and forwards? 😡 Here are two of my favourite alternatives

Contact back from Monday. Here is a game working on clearing/delivering the ball under pressure. Stage 3 makes it very game like with forwards looking to score and backs looking to deliver.

It can help younger players to put a key phrase like '4' or "Power" on this action as a mental reminder during games or training to take those first 4 powerful steps, get the head up and make a decision on what to do next

The first 4 steps (I know one coach who teaches 7 steps) are crucial when making your first decision on the ball. Some players can have a bad habit of playing the ball too early and using up a catch. Here is a drill designed more for underage teams.

We're looking forward to getting back to contact training. However, attached is a non contact session for the week. It's game based w/out tackling. Animations available on https://t.co/jDzDgl2EtG @DrillsAnd @coaching_gb @movementcoachkm @Hurling365 @WaterfordGAACG #DSShurling

Not long now until we are back on the pitch. Here is a well known drill with an adaptation in stage 2 and 3 to make it more game like but still without contact. In stage 2 it's amazing how even token pressure can force a player to make a mistake.

A game adapted for use without contact. Often small sided games only have a focus on possession but ultimately the reason we keep possession is to score or improve a scoring chance. Here after players complete 3 passes they attempt a score while the opposition attempt to stop it

An activity working on shooting under pressure but still maintaining the 2m social distancing.

One of the first games I'm hoping to implement post covid. Trying to mimick game scenario while players avoid contact with one another
