I remember how excited I was before me and my uncle arrived at the building. I knew I was about to meet Mike and how excited I was. I told Mike I wanted to meet you but I think he said you might have been out of town or something. Sue was also very fond of me!

I remember one time he said “you’re always welcome in the weather center drew!” and you were sitting next to him. You might remember that. I don’t know if you ever saw this picture my uncle took of me and Mike back in 2016 at the previous Fox 5 location

Like if you or Tucker happen to be out and about, I would absolutely love to say hi! Ya never know! Sometimes in the past years, my friends have texted me asking about possible storms during the summer months since they know they can rely on me.

I’m unfortunately not able to watch you live since I’m still sleeping at that hour, but I’ve seen replays of it when I wake up. I know that Tucker is also a morning meteorologist there as well. I’ve never met Tucker, but hopefully one day, and I’d love to meet you one day as well

…Back in 2016, I had the privilege to take a tour of the previous Fox 5 location and loved it! I met Mike Thomas who I love. I also had the privilege of meeting Gwen and Sue Palka. I think it’s awesome how you’ve become a member of the Fox 5 weather department!

…I went to a class near me where my local office was teaching us all about it and everything, and I enjoyed it and became a spotter. I remember calling their office one time to report pea sized hail from a severe thunderstorm affecting my area…

…Anyway, I’m on the autistic spectrum (high functioning), with learning disabilities, so I didn’t go to college and study meteorology, but I still love observing it and everything. I also became a SKYWARN Spotter for my forecast area…

…then I remember we had one back on June 13, 2013. I don’t know when we’ll get another moderate risk, but if we did, that would actually scare me a little even though I enjoy watching and tracking severe weather. I know that it would take A LOT to get a moderate risk in DC…

…enhanced risks are usually the highest risk we get outlooked for if it qualifies. Moderate risks are very rare for us and I only remember them getting issued twice for the DC area. One was the 2012 North American Derecho, which was an unforgettable storm…

…and I really enjoyed that. I’ve been in touch with their warning coordination meteorologist by email several times a few years ago. We would discuss severe weather if it was in the near future, and how big of a threat it could be. When it comes to severe weather for my area…

…I see based on your profile that you’re a forecaster at the Storm Prediction Center in Oklahoma. I check there outlooks, including the day4-8 discussion. I’ve also been to the National Weather Service for my area, which is NWS Sterling. I went for an open house in 2016…

I just wanna bring it up because both the GFS and Euro are currently in agreement with it. It is still about a week out however, so we’ll see

We don’t have forcing tomorrow which is a big limiter, but with the type of environment that will be in place, any storm that forms will be in what looks like will be a very unstable environment

I’m hoping my area can get south of the warm front, we’ll see
