Can’t overstate how impressive @dax_pennington was for @keesbasketball tonight. 25 points 5 boards 4 assists 6/8 FG 3/3 3PT 10/14 FT And the stats don’t even describe how the sophomore was in full control of the game. First career start at the HS level, btw.

@DPASports BBB FINAL McMinn County 60, Meigs County 57 Awesome game. Brody Goines’ potential game tying three just hit back iron at the horn. Cherokees win all three games against the Tigers in the early season, perhaps none more impressive than tonight missing three of its best players

@DPASports BBB 3:47 4Q McMinn County 50, Meigs County 47 11-4 run to open the fourth for the Tigers. McMinn opened the fourth taking off 1:15 off of the clock, but missed the shot, and the Tigers offense used a tech on a Cherokee plus a Gabin Malone three just now to cut it down.

@DPASports BBB E3 McMinn County 46, Meigs County 36 Refs whistled Meigs for a foul with 0.0 on the clock and then gave Meigs a tech for arguing it, and McMinn therein pushed it to double digits. Big minutes continue for Dax Pennington, who has 17 points. @DPASports

@DPASports BBB HALF McMinn County 29, Meigs County 23 11/4/4 for Jaxson Gonzalez and 10/3 for Dax Pennington is the Cherokee offense right now. The backcourt by necessity (Pennington’s first career start because three injured ‘Kees) is paying off. @DPASports

Kenny Dillingham’s protocol for players who plan to enter the portal but want to still practice and play in ASU’s bowl game: “If somebody wants to enter the portal and be a part of our team, they have 100% ability to be a part of this team. This is the 2025 team.” @FOX10Phoenix

It's not been this bad in Tennessee at my games (aside from when Clinton dribbled the last five minutes of a game at Meigs in '23) but fourth quarters could be much more electric if we didn't have teams burning minutes at a time. That's when I think about shot clocks the most.

If you are a State that still does not have a shot clock, you should be ashamed This is disgusting
