they also have the most recognizable and important video game IPS in gaming history think Mario, Zelda, Pokemon, Kirby. your grandparents would recognize Mario Pikachu or Kirby, even Link sometimes they also have smash bros. their impact isn’t just from hardware

anyone who thinks nintendo isn’t the most important part of gaming history please think, I’d argue Nintendo pioneered and/or invented: - Handheld gaming - Motion Controls - Controller Design - camera lock on - hybrid consoles - the platforming genre - the kart racing genre
saying “nintendo didn't invent handheld” is as pointless as saying apple didn't invent smartphones. that's not a gotcha. nintendo still pioneered the handheld market and created the formulas that playstation and xbox would later emulate.

i know pokémon is objectively a worse video game but the pokemon formula is extremely addicting to me and my fist games were x and y, and my favourite pokemon game prior was legends arceus, so there was no way i wasn’t gonna love Z-A😛

"I think there's going to be a Mario movie duology because what other game can top Galaxy to make it a trilogy? If anyone says Odyssey, Sunshine, or anything like that, it's going to be a downgrade."
