Last year I said that even companies those that โvaluedโ artists, including WOTC, would embrace AI - because $$$ trumps everything. Lots of people told me I was wrong.
I wanted to be wrong.
I was not wrong.
@DragonsofWales
The first question we should ask is did they knew that AI was used? Not that I am particularly fond of Wizards after certain license even, but I have seen plenty of people duped like this.
@DragonsofWales
Man, I remember the days before AI art where I would fuss and panic over whether people would notice if I got things wrong likeโฆproportions. Poses. A general sense of unity.
Ever since AI I guess I have to deal with the fact that people either just donโt notice or donโt care ๐
@ravenkult
At the top (Hasbro) level, I agree, but there are plenty of art-directors and others at a senior level who really *do* care about the artists. I think itโs important to make that distinction.

Hasbro owns WotC. Also from my knowledge people who play Dungeons and Dragons are prolific Midjourney users for their characters. :( It completely sucks.
@DragonsofWales
We all knew this was gonna happen, we just hoped that people would do the right thing but in the end I guess money does trump everything.
@DragonsofWales
I mean, WotC also sic'd the frakking Pinkertons on a guy. and tried to play "I am altering the deal, pray I do not alter it any further."
I'm completely unsurprised.
