Well done, Anastasiia Grekova 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 She previously wrote her bachelor thesis in our lab and then published the results with us as a journal paper. Today she presented her work as a PhD student at @embl about a large-scale meta genetics data collection at #ISMBECCB2025.

This week, it was Prof. Stephan-Scherb from Geology and I's turn to give our inauguration lecture to finally establish ourselves at Faculty of Natural Sciences III. About 80 guests attended. Afterward, there was a cozy celebration where we could exchange ideas across disciplines.

Concluding our @DZIF_ -funded project also officially ends our affiliation with the @uni_tue. It was a unique highlight to bring together Tübingen students, former & active group members & invited researchers at the @UniHalle to celebrate the successful completion of the project.
Our group’s final project meeting, „Computational Systems Biology of Infections and Antimicrobial-Resistant Pathogens, “at the German Center for Infection Research (DZIF), brought together students and researchers from Tübingen, Leipzig, Gießen, and Heidelberg in Halle (Saale).

Our former member, @ecealtnsk, visited our research group at the @UniHalle. It was so lovely to spend the Advent weekend jointly, visiting our institute and the Christmas market and having brunch. Thanks for coming all the way from Istanbul to see us!
