So tonight my daughter is really upset that her friend who has ADHD is being teased but worse still is that her friend doesn’t realize that they are teasing. Language is so complicated/nuanced and I hate how it can be so cruel. Oh wait, it’s not language, it’s people. #Bekind

Fantastic interview Maddi, well done and thanks for your great contributions to the Guideline!
Long-awaited national guidelines to improve the diagnosis and treatment of ADHD have been released today. Clinical psychologist Maddi Derrick was involved in the process, and lives with ADHD herself. She joined us to talk about the significance of this development.

ADHD guidelines have finally been released in Australia. Here’s why that matters https://t.co/0K94Ai9gq1 via @ABCaustralia

It has taken two years of clinicians, researchers and people with lived experience collaborating on evidence-based Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) guidelines to get to this point.

Thanks @ABCBreakfast for discussing all things #ADHD this morning & the new @AustAADPA guidelines. With most people with ADHD not receiving the right supports, focus needs to be on improving understanding, capacity and skills across the nation @Sydney_Uni

Great to speak with @theprojecttv about ADHD tonight.
There are growing calls for ADHD to be included in the National Disability Insurance Scheme, with experts saying the condition must be taken more seriously. But is the government paying attention? Disability advocate, @Edesmarchelier, joins us. #TheProjectTV

You can now watch the @ABCBreakfast #ADHD interview on iview. We need to stop emphasising rates of medication use for ADHD. Stigma should not be associated with people getting the support they need. Evidence should drive should practice, full stop. https://t.co/w2U6hpyFGz
