To suggest you can come back from nearly dying of

! Whether you support the guy or not, underplaying his experience with covid-19 because she cleary doesnโt like the guy is quite disgraceful considering sheโs a doctor.

and forget the burden on many who have survived, including those ventilated & those left with
#MECFS
.
It's essential we don't allow the public to believe you can bounce back from near-death Covid.

Incensed at seeing your outburst on JV this morning. It made me suspect that you are almost resentful of the fact that the PM should have recovered so quickly and had not suffered enough to qualify for ITU treatment - a shameful characteristic for a GP to profer.

Then you suspect entirely wrongly. What worries me enormously is that suggesting the PM 'almost died' and then is back to normal within weeks does a huge disservice to the thousands who will take months or years to recover

๐๐๐ Totally agree with Dr Sarah. Also thankful you made the case about holidays. I'm incredibly frustrated with people claiming to 'need' holidays when people with family in other countries are staying home to protect them.

The oft repeated โit was touch and goโ for the PM quote wasnโt in reference to his survival and referred only to it being touch and go if he needed a ventilator or not; he didnโt.
So he was poorly but not on deathโs door - barely on the path to the door.

Wow. I never expected you to be so obviously disparaging about our Prime Minister. Some people have a terrible time, especially those with long ICU stays, and some recover more quickly. Everyoneโs different, doctor. You of all people should know that. Surprised and disappointed.
