Non-revenue water in Garissa is 45% which is high as per international standards. It not only denies water companies the much needed revenue but also interrupts supply and destroy water infrastructure. With proper enforcement, the NRW levels can be reduced significantly.

The Water Police Unit will work with water companies to address this vices. Flagged off the Water Police Unit together with Governor @Nathif_J_Adam in Garissa town, Garissa county.

@Nathif_J_Adam We also signed an MoU between @MOWSI_KE and Garissa County to reduce NRW and also partner in creating a conducive environment to allow rollout of PPP projects.

@DrRonohpaul @DrRonohpaul Garissa water problem is engineered by cartels in GAWASCO sector ,lack of leadership is also another problem. It's true only 10% can access the water ,yet we have the biggest river in the area,the cartels are benefitting and the common mwananchi are struggling.
