Agreed @MoyraCosgrove - taking an integrative approach to supporting the ECS away from #cannabinoidmedicine for tested athletes is our current situation but outside of WADA testing I would recommend #cbd for different training & recovery areas
@Sport_Bokkie @DrPhilipps @CISN_info @fourfiveuk @wada_ama Yes it’s a worry. We’re hopeful that WADA will take other non intoxicating cannabinoids off the prohibited list - no sign yet. Much work needed as many potential benefits of #cbd in athletes. Meanwhile, with current WADA stance, giving athletes encouragement to take is a bad idea

Agreed @close_nutrition & with current daily limit 70mg #cbd it’s making conducting necessary #cbdtrials really problematic

In terms of athletes I just think we cannot begin to suggest using it until some crucial studies are done. Its really not worth ruining their careers for.
