The NHS is getting ready to offer more people a #COVIDBooster vaccine and will prioritise those at greatest risk. The NHS will let you know when it is your turn.

Great that boosters are going to be given to all over 18’s and 12-15 year olds will get a second dose of vaccine. But please don’t follow the advice from @BBCTheOneShow or @BBCNews to phone your GP about it. You will be contacted when your jab is available for you! #GetBoosted

My brother died yesterday from covid, he was 56 years old. My last day with him was at my local hospitals ICU. Me, my sister and his family were called and were told we needed to go quickly to say our goodbyes to Cameron. We all got there as quickly as possible.

NHS has reached 'tipping point' and is facing 'unsustainable pressures' leaders warn in our survey. Urgent extra support for social care to ensure effective discharge for medically fit patients and help free up capacity across the NHS is needed. https://t.co/DXArmkd2D5

Think it's a bit jarring to hear there's no unsustainable pressure on the NHS, when many of us are one bad shift away from just walking out forever.

Things that would make GP a job I could do in a practice again. 1. Varying appt lengths to allow for work that takes time, particularly women's health and psych which ends up being the majority of the work. 2. Colleagues who recognise each other's skills & appts allow for this

NEW: people obsess over vaccine uptake stats, eagerly comparing one country to others to see which has jabbed the highest share of its population, but what if I told you many — perhaps most — of those stats are wrong? Time for a thread on bad Covid data and how it can cost lives

Looking forward to joining this panel to reflect and discuss the development of PCNs and the impact of Covid. Has been a helpful exercise for me reflecting on all we want to achieve and the challenges that lie ahead for our PCN. @CdsPcn

Tomorrow 4.4 million households, with 5.1m adults and 3.5m children, will see their incomes fall by £1,000 overnight. For 1 million households that will mean an immediate loss of over 10% of their income as we take the basic rate of benefits to its lowest level since 1990

Everyone keeps talking about covid becoming endemic, but as I listen to the conversation, it’s becoming more & more clear to me that very few of you know what “endemic” means. So here’s a thread on how pandemics end.

Here are two NHS budgets: one under control, the other not so much: Can you guess what they are and which one got scandalous headlines last week for being out of control?
