One special request: someone please teach the high school students how to download files from Google docs to share instead of sending a link (that usually does not grant permissions for access...). Thanks!

You’ll probably have to teach them what a file is first. Heaven forbid they actually learn to navigate a file system.

My request: you need learn to use an LMS so they don't have to share a document with you or download what is supposed to be DIGITAL MATERIAL. Imagine not realizing that YOU are the undereducated person in the room.

Share is easier. They just need to know how to change the setting to "anyone with the link" since they probably don't have to make that change in HS since it os already configured for their school ecosystem. College instructors can then download as Word if needed.

Or you could do it on the first day of your class if you want to view papers that way instead of through the LMS.
