I think every politician who opposes birth control, abortion, & Medicaid expansion should have to spend at least 1 week with an OBGYN who practices full spectrum reproductive healthcare to understand how critical these things are. We are the experts, get out of exam rooms.

5/My patient was making a medical decision & found somewhere to go where it’s legal. This place convinced her she could be in legal peril without this scam of a form. These fake health centers are dangerous and manipulative. Patients deserve better.

4/And yes - the patient showed me additional handouts she received (also full of medical misinformation) from the specific center. Here’s their website where in teeny tiny print at the bottom of the page they admit they don’t provide abortions.

3/I can only assume these antichoice extremists are seeking to collect information about out of state abortion providers with the intent to intimidate us.

2/Upon further questioning - it became clear she had been a victim of a #fakehealthcenter while trying to access a safe, legal abortion.

1/Further proof that #CPCsLie to patients. An out of state patient brought this form in today after being told at a CPC that she must have this form signed to avoid risk of legal consequences when she returned home.

Has anyone else lost track of how many EPIC EMR trainings they’ve attended….I’ve been using EPIC since 2012, it changes randomly and there’s 17 ways to do the same thing.

The last 36hrs on our L&D have been a brutal reminder that when pregnancy does go wrong it can go really wrong. We have to stop underestimating the unique health risks that pregnancy brings. Maternal mortality is real. Birth trauma and pregnancy related morbidity is real.

5/I think so many of us in healthcare are still working our way through this trauma as we slowly move back to a new normal. So to all these amazing healthcare workers out there - please know you’re not alone in still working your way through what happened to us and the world ❤️

4/I paused before I threw these items in the garbage. I needed to take a moment to reflect on a critical moment of my career. I look at my now 2 year old that I was pregnant with at the time & remember how fearful I was that something would happen to me or her.

3/ Those were such dark days & only the beginning of how COVID would ravish our communities. It’s crazy how much more we know now. That in 2 years we developed vaccines, treatments, and understanding of a brand new disease.
