Junior doctors on strike sing a message to Steve Barclay and the government . "I'll go down under instead"

Despite this, the highest praise they can get from the list is 'no concern'. This may be one of the many reasons junior doctors are feeling undervalued. Whilst there are beacons of excellence, that reward those doctors who go above and beyond, the system needs rethinking & reform.

They also support the wider NHS by staying late to provide excellent care, help departments and hospitals with audits and quality improvement projects, and stay behind after work to give 'twilight teaching' to med students and train the doctors of tomorrow. 3/n.

This does not recognise or encourage those that go above and beyond the 'minimum' in a hugely challenging working environment . Junior doctors work long hours, on unsociable rotas, and tirelessly help patients through their most vulnerable times. 2/n.

I am still astounded by the fact that the best feedback the system allows me to give a foundation junior doctor for their placement is "no concerns". 1/n
