lmfao this argument baited half of HN. I'm sorry but GrapheneOS is the PinePhone or desktop Linux of secure phone software. It's a good idea but it's not usable for normal people and therefore will never take off no matter how much you evangelize it.

GrapheneOS can be as secure and private as they claim to be but until they have feature parity with iOS and most major Android phones (e.g. automatic device backup), they are irrelevant to protecting journos against NSO/Cellebrite. Just buy an iPhone and turn on lockdown mode.
