When Ofsted’s Chief Inspector refused to issue Pride-branded T-shirts, it wasn’t about politics - it was about neutrality. Institutions that serve the public must remain impartial, not endorse campaigns. The National Trust could learn from this.

Some will say ‘but there’s no direct link’. But the wholesale moral stigmatisation of Israel, when met by cowardice and/or appeasement,(eg West Midlands Police) will eventually include Jewish and/or Israeli people.

After the pogrom yesterday, this is a must read for understanding how if we allow the mere existence of a nation to be delegitimised, it is likely people associated with that nation will be similarly treated: through BDS and increasingly by murderous terror. Anti-Zionism is

'Imperial miasma theory' - a good take on those who claim to be historians but whose selective choice and framing of history is really motivated by their present political concerns :

A genre of books has emerged that claims Britain’s imperial past can explain everything about Britain’s present travails. As its latest offering confirms, it ends up explaining nothing.
