Jim Boeheim is no longer Syracuse's basketball coach.
Adrian Autry is.
The Boeheim Era, after 47 years, is over at Syracuse.
Adrian, who is a terrific guy and a coach Syracuse players respect, gets his shot.
Guy plants a whole a garden for the groundhog who keeps stealing his veggies — and can't believe it when he brings his whole family over 😍 💚

Noah Eagle, at age 22 and newly graduated from Syracuse University, is the new Clippers radio guy. How did that happen?
It’s a job he’s essentially been training for his whole life.
Here’s the reaction of the JMA Wireless Dome as Carmelo Anthony is introduced to continue the 2003 national championship celebration.
It’s been 20 years!
Tiana Mangakahia is here at the Boeheim’s Army game with her boyfriend, SU football player Trishton Jackson. She’s undergoing treatment for breast cancer and said she’s doing well.
We can debate the Buddy Boeheim incident forever I suppose and there will never be agreement about what should have been done.
I’ve known him a very long time. It’s super sad to see his college career end this way.
Hakim Warrick is here. The former SU great now plays for the Iowa Wolves in the G League. His team plays in SLC tomorrow. Said he was hoping SU would be sent here. Perfect timing.
Boeheim was funny, emotional and yes, charming in his final official news conference.
He heartily endorsed Adrian Autry. Said he needed no older mentor on his bench. He knows basketball. He knows how to coach. The program is in good hands.
Syracuse's most famous booster, Adam Weitsman, is about to enter the NIL space.
He says he'll offer a big number to two 5-star athletes each year to rep one of his companies.
I don't think we've emphasized enough how big a win this was for Syracuse to come down here to Tallahassee, where FSU never loses, and win an big road game during a very difficult portion of its schedule.
Something to note:
Syracuse will have two 5-star recruits on its roster next season in Benny and JJ Starling.
Adrian Autry was the lead recruiter on both guys.
I gotta admit, I thought the Syracuse-Georgetown game had maybe gone past it’s sell-by date.
But it was electric in DC today. Noisy crowd. Two animated and involved new coaches. A lot of energy from both teams. It was a fun game to watch.
JJ Starling, the former Baldwinsville 5-star combo guard, is in the transfer portal.
He was recruited heavily by Syracuse and Adrian Autry, the new Orange head coach who was Starling's lead recruiter.
Maybe I'm biased because I've known her for so long. But the job Felisha Legette-Jack (and her staff) is doing with this 15-2 Syracuse team midway through year 2 is pretty amazing. Not sure why there isn't more national recognition.
After Syracuse native Felisha Legette-Jack was fired as Indiana’s HC nobody would hire her. Resurrected in Buffalo, she led the Bulls to a historic 2018-19 season. Along the way she became a vocal, passionate advocate for 2nd chances.
My profile:
I am super appreciative of this award and of all the good wishes that have flooded my timeline/inbox/texts.
I was in the middle of thrilling negotiations to turn in my leased car (there are complications) when the news broke today.
This is infinitely more fun.
Thanks so much!
Judah Mintz announces on ESPNU that he will be attending Syracuse.
No. 35 on ESPN’s Class of 2022.
He’s wearing a Syracuse tshirt and has a Syracuse hat.
Congratulations to my friend and co-conspirator for all these years! Thrilled that your work has been recognized,
@MikeWatersSYR
. Well-deserved!
Next round of bourbon is on us, amirite,
@NettDennis
?
Immense thanks to the USBWA and congrats to Bob, Chris and the family of Terry Hutchens.
I have been overwhelmed (in a good way) with calls, texts and a variety of messages. People are so nice! Thank you!
Also, Mike Waters, Dennis Nett and I have stories. That’s all I’m saying.
I just got a nasty email from someone I'll call Chris (because that's his name). He ripped me and other "bullshit" reporters for asking Jim Boeheim about the presidential election.
Ummmm...
Nobody asked him about the presidential election.
Jesse Edwards has plans.
The Syracuse big man will go home for a bit -- and then return to Syracuse in June to resume workouts.
We spoke this afternoon.
Buddy Boeheim is speaking about the “mistake” he made yesterday. He’s trying not to break down. He is speaking eloquently and emotionally about the incident.
Said he felt badly that he’d let down kids who looked up to him.
Jesse Edwards’ family came from the Netherlands. He walked with them and his girlfriend to center court to celebrate Senior Day.
Then he played the game of his life.
“One word from me would be proud.”
Two weeks, three books, eight running miles, two arenas, one gym, three hotels, one rental car, many, many words, one nervy $1 million title game and then … exhale.
HOME!
They've let fans into the arena here at Wake and I'm not exaggerating when I say 90 to 95 percent of these early arrivers are wearing some sort of Syracuse gear.
Tough end to a terrific season for Syracuse.
Too much Paige Bueckers today.
But the Orange fought back in the 4th, got it to a single possession late.
Kudos to Dyaisha Fair and her remarkable career.
Dyaisha Fair with an amazing 32 points (!!) as the Syracuse women beat Arizona and advance.
Lots of support for the Orange women here at Harvey’s Garden.
No matter how many times I see them, and I see them a lot, those Progressive ‘don’t act like your parents’ commercials crack me up.
They are the oasis is the dry desert of commercials.
Sure, schedules are hard.
But somebody needs to explain how Syracuse goes on the road to Cal, Stanford, SMU, Miami, Florida State, Clemson, Notre Dame, Virginia Tech.
And Duke (SMU) and UNC (nobody) plays exactly one of the new, long-distance teams on the road.
