Man, I loved you tech-twitter. Like, I really loved you. You were the one place I didn't have to deal with monetized influencer nonsense and actually get the current events without the fear mongering. This feels so much worse than the Google+ shutdown. #GoodByeTwitter 🫡🐦💙.

@DoesitPew @mikewolfson @intellijidea @androidstudio We are working on making the sync system more flexible and feature-rich. The prototype of a new such system is already in the testing/preview phase. Hopefully, it will be announced to public soon. Please upvote the following issues:.

Hey @intellijidea and @androidstudio 💡.How can we get a feature to save and reuse my IntelliJ configuration across products and upgrades (plugins, customizations, and window positions)? . I hate having to redo the same work for AppCode, RubyMine, and WebStorm too. 🙏.

Finally, stop putting your app secrets in open Constants files and things like that! . Be creative 🙅‍♀️ or . Take advantage of the obfuscation of non-UI strings that Android can already give you with string xml file names like "config-xx.xml" if you don't know what to do.

Please build good Proguard habits into your architecture. If you are wondering where to start, use my examples here for Gradle in Groovy and Kotlin examples.

Proper Proguard setup will fix a LOT and you can go further with some experimental features like "android.enableR8.fullMode=true". Minifying also helps! . See

Big companies don't do this or do it right. Decompile some big company APKs and you will find the code spells out in plain English or text to steal secrets or passcodes. It's genuinely ridiculous.

I cannot tell you how many "fellow devs" I have helped by basically being able to reverse engineer their code using a few simple tools. In fact, using things like APKtool and good old ClassyShark on dependencies can be huge.

Security is important: .Mobile applications can get static analysis very easily .Guardsquare recently (not so recently) launched:.It gives you chances to do static analysis in your app, shows you the OWASP MASVS violations, high-risk issues, and others.

What says love everlasting? .Obviously, this 10-year anniversary gift to @SWebCEO I commissioned from @BubbaFlint of @trixiemattel and @katya_zamo of #UNHhhh as they truly embody the nature of our relationship. aka codependency with self and occasionally someone else. ❤️
