Nice kids are great, but people need to remember "bad" kids need the most kindness even if they aren't yours. There was a boy that was just awful, breaking into my garage & destroying things. The other kids hated him. One day, I saw him watching my kids & I drawing outside. 1/9.

This kid never bothered anyone on the street again. He went from walking into peoples garages and busting their things, to sitting quietly and sketching, and leaving drawings for people. I started keeping chalk and art supplies in the garage for the neighborhood kids to take. 7/9.

I offered him chalk, but he shook his head & watched us quietly. The next day, I heard his stepdad screaming at him & he sent him outside. I eventually realized he was sent outside to play alone when his stepdad was sick of him. He was 10 & seen as a menace on the street. 3/9.
