Heartening to see the response on this post. We need more people in the field of medicine to talk about books/sources they read from. Academia is as important as clinical learning for us. It gives you all the possible reasons to understand, question and change routine clinical.

One of the best purchases. Highly recommend peeps new to Anesthesia to read it for better integration of physiology and #Anesthesia concepts.

The rain makes me want to stay home and curl up with a good book. One predictable rain cliche Phyllis misses!

Looking back, I think the xSEED curriculum contributed a lot to who I'm and how I think and discourse in terms of academics today. I absolutely have no idea as to who came up with it and how they managed to bring it to a school in a small town, but I'm glad it happened!.

@spinesurgeon We had this seating arrangement in my class 7th for a few months. Kids started to complain about neck pains and parents showed up in the principal's office. It was changed back to rows. It was fun interacting with the whole class that way though. They were also trying this new.

I've attended e-FONA/FONA-PCT CME/workshop today and one good speaker mentioned his choice of mode of Ventilation while doing a PCT is PCV. Is any mode particularly proven to be superior to others? Do we have any explanation for it sir? What is your preference/opinion regarding

The 'inverted bottle effect'. CSF leaks as a result of base of skull trauma,post-surgery/LP lead to eventual accumulation of air. (Just as in the gif). The other mechanism is 'one way valve' with a dural tear and air entry, like in a pneumothorax.

RT @GaetaAmy: I am horrified by how many academics are using AI to summarize research papers and books, not reading them otherwise. Intelle….

Watching #UppuKappuRambuOnPrime . Such a refreshing plot. It truly felt like reading a very well written political satire. @ActorSuhas Appreciate your script selection man. You might soon have a great variety in your filmography, unlike many other lead actors in TFI. Great.

Evolution can be viewed as crude a process as reptiles becoming birds, monkeys becoming men or as fine a process as "Coupling innate immunity and Coagulation". I was reading about DIC and it's management (Thankyou for sharing beautiful material @drmohansai). There was repetitive

While reading this, I also realised something. As physicians working in ICU and wards, we cry about leaky capillaries in sepsis. The whole concept of depleted intravascular volume, fluid responsiveness, congestion - decongestion, organ hypoperfusion revolves around these bloody.

I've dreamt of these evenings. So very often that.It all feels like deja vu. It took 25 years and her two kids kicked out of home, for my mom to become the same avid reader she once was. #home .#booktwt
