So after months of no basketball at WM or Target I found this one box. I tried the self checkout but they wouldn't ring up. Item not found. I asked a lady for help and she took me to customer service. The manager looked them up and charged me $12.99.

I get so tired of the money side of the hobby. What going up and what's going down and what's undervalued and "the market" and blah blah blah. Only buy cards that you like and only use money you can afford to spend. It's really that simple.

Me and the boy set up at the card show today. I sold a lot of cards and met a lot of cool people. I also got ripped off in a trade by a 10 year old which was fun. Everything I didn't sell will be in my stack sale next Thursday.

I remember when I could walk into any Target or Wal Mart and buy a blaster of whatever was out, and most of the time I just passed. You can usually get more for your $20 if you just buy singles. The idea of paying retail markup for this stuff still blows my mind.

The easiest profit in the hobby is buying cards for a dime and selling them for a quarter. It's tough, but if you're willing to grind out 800 quarter cards a week for a few months, you can build something. I did that or more every week for 8 months, and it paid off for me.

Cool pickup today. This is from 1996 Topps Chrome, the first year they made football cards. Refractors were 2 per box and there were no other parallels.

If you buy cards you like and want to have for at least a while, "dips" don't matter. Panic sales don't matter. There's no such thing as a "crash".
Those are all day trader terms.

Had someone build a $200 plus stack and not pay for the first time. I knew it would happen eventually, but considering that I let people stack for long periods and at large amounts, the rate of non-paying buyers on Twitter is remarkably low. Like <1% low. It's truly remarkable.

After a solid 10+ year search, I finally found a T210 Burch with a red border. They come up from time to time in the orange border variation, but the red border is impossible! Finally, the 1910 Houston Buffaloes team set is COMPLETE!

Here's a little tip for dressing up your binder and giving your cards a little extra protection. Put a piece of construction paper between the pages. I like black.

I was able to find one mega box of prizm when they came out, and I pulled this card. I sent it to a place that does bulk submission so long ago I almost forgot about it, but I finally got it back yesterday.

I've closed 10 unpaid stacks this week, and it seems likely that more are coming. Because stack sales are for the most part on the honor system, this happens from time to time. I've never seen it like this though. Some of yall are really cool, but some of yall really suck.

A friend of mine called me earlier because his card came back from grading. I was with him when he bought it at the Tristar show in Houston several years ago for $100. It's worth more than that now.

SGC is a great grading company with history in the hobby. They have tons of Ruth, Cobb, etc in their slabs, but a lot of people don't think they're good enough for a Lamelo base prizm. They're a tough grade too, so their grade means something. Buy the card not the holder.

The biggest problem I have with being a card dealer is that I like buying a lot more than I like selling. Anyway, got some shiny new cards in today. I took a chance and bought a collection of "older chrome cards" mostly sight unseen. Paid off this time.

I hate when someone posts a card for sale with a price, and then after you agree to buy it they ask you to pay FF. If you sell cards and expect FF, which you shouldn't, you should put that in your post up front.

I was hesitant to buy these but I'm glad I did. They're made for cards, weigh under an ounce with a card and a toploaded in them, are much more rigid than regular
