Come join me on @BBCBreakfast (09:20) as we discuss what’s happening to our reefs around the world. Since 2023 this latest marine heatwave has been causing havoc beneath our oceans surface. Corals are the canaries in the coal mine & they are singing their little hearts out.

When I was born there were 4.6 billion people on our planet. When I finished University there were 6.4 billion. At the end of my PhD we were just passing 7 billion. And now. Well now there are 8.2 billion. Don’t tell me there isn’t an over population problem on our planet!!!!

A very well structured argument on if @colossal ‘created’ a dire wolf or not. Either way, in my opinion it’s an impressive leap in genetic engineering and one which has been on the cards for many years 🤩
Yesterday, @TIME broke news of a landmark advance in gene editing and de-extinction. This piece has proven divisive, and many criticisms I have seen are misplaced or incorrect. This 🧵 is intended to provide my take, based on my own expertise, and set the record straight.
