Thought process is listening to TJ (a band I never got that into) and then realising they were really popular, and thinking, here’s a cover of Joyce Manor who I knew were quite popular, but didn’t realise 800k monthly listeners, that must be almost as much as NOFX

What makes it so disappointing is knowing what they’re capable of. This is just completely lacking any urgency or bite, and whilst a few like Wolves, The Black Market and Endgame weren’t great, there were a few decent faster heavier songs. This is just straight up bland rock.

I’ve looked into it as I thought there’s no way Stevenson and Livermore would’ve put their names to this and found they’ve changed to a producer best known for work with Manchester Orchestra, Boygenius and Foals

Oh dear Rise Against, this new album is starting off pretty bad. After Nowhere Generation being pretty good and actually having some punk rock songs, this one feels very bland alternative rock.
