YouTube channel falsely terminated by YouTube’s AI Software
Joined July 2025
Dear @TeamYouTube My YouTube channel DisasterWeather was falsely terminated due to ‘scam, spam & deceptive practices’. My appeal got denied within minutes. I make news videos on disaster weather events and add original commentary, drawn from reputable sources. I add time and

This is not a viable business practice. No one should have to rely on public outcry. Ai moderation is ruining the platform Ridiculous rules not evenly enforced are a problem CHARGEBACKS are a problem!!! Heck even people not able to have their own channel discovered and
@bjr2730 Following up to make sure you saw our response here: https://t.co/Br1CVHUgNJ. Your channel has now been reinstated. We are genuinely sorry for the mistake, and appreciate your patience while we sorted this out.

The new reality many creators like @cryptomanran are waking up in is an incredibly insecure landscape. Seeing people all around you terminated without clear reason and explanation means you could be next. And to any business owner, this is petrifying
AN OPEN LETTER TO @YouTube AND NEAL MAHON. Dear @YouTube I built a media business that broadcasts on your platform. Our business has exploded and we are growing rapidly. We have over 1,1m subscribers. We employ over 100 people globally and we work tirelessly to deliver on

Aha, a classic YouTube “death sentence”. They love those.
@RubenSargasm Unfortunately, channels that received a strike for violating a specific policy won't be able to monetize again in the future. Thanks for understanding

This situation is slowly turning into a Black Mirror episode

YouTube has two core jobs: 1. Create a safe, reliable ad environment for viewers 2. Give creators a stable platform to turn passion into a business Right now, they’re failing at both.
Hi @TeamYouTube, Two weeks ago, my YouTube channel was wrongfully terminated for "spam and deceptive content." My appeal was rejected. My DMs and Tweets have been ignored for a week. Today, I opened YouTube and here is what I see... This is genuinely insane: the AI systems have

Everyone involved in this termination wave should read this entire thread
Here’s a true story… Back in 2017, I discovered negative keyword data associated with my channel by feeding my content into Google AI. The term “maternal insult” kept popping up, and the only use of the word came from a Wikipedia article. Which Google had already acknowledged

What he could be implying is this: “We know our AI system is overly strict, and we keep it that way on purpose to filter out content we view as low-effort or without a strong personal brand.” Ofcourse, they could not admit this.
I’m being tagged in a lot of questions and comments about content moderation right now, and so is @TeamYouTube. We see it, we feel it, we take it super seriously, and we want to address it:

I still can’t get over how bad this ‘apology’ was. It’s not an explanation to the creator community, it’s a saving face PR stunt for potential mainstream media backlash. Any creator who’s paid even a little attention on X in the last weeks knows how deeply rooted this issue is.

Hi @YouTubeInsider, Why doesn’t YouTube create a tool where creators can upload a video and get a proper Community Guidelines “test” before publishing? Real feedback, real clarity. Creators could see how safe or unsafe their content is, what triggers they should avoid, and how

In the past months my attitude towards YouTube has completely flipped. I went from seeing it as a volatile yet realistic business to seeing it as a risky, Russian-roulette gamble where a single invisible decision can wipe out everything you built in seconds. It doesn’t feel

There is a special place in hell for people who scam those who’re already down on their luck
⚠️NEW SCAM ALERT ⚠️ Malicious actors are trying to extort people at their lowest for more money they dont have who have been hit with false AI Youtube terminations. Let me explain my encounter: Despite losing $12,000 from my false YT channel termination, scammers have took it

YouTube’s own AI-Software Gemini admits that YouTube falsely took down my channel. Yet no response from @TeamYouTube @YouTubeInsider to right this wrong.

Isn’t it ironic that YouTube -An infamously Democratic platform- treats it’s creators like a dictatorship treats it’s citizens? Absolute power and draconian punishment with very little room to defend yourself.
I'm human. Also a creator. I care enormously. @TeamYouTube are some of the very best humans I've ever met. They care about creators to a truly heroic degree No one is perfect. Not every decision is perfect. Not everyone is happy even with very carefully considered decisions. We

@TeamYouTube, please review my channel manually. A proper human review will see that I post factual news, something your AI system unfortunately failed to recognize. I suspect my channel was flagged for citing sources directly into the video descriptions. This was obviously done

The biggest mistake I made is nog building an X account parallel to my YouTube channel. It’s the best way to have a human YouTube employee look at your channel. So if you read this. Please retweet & tag @TeamYouTube
