Vince has recently taken a trip around the world! He flew from Sydney to Bali, to Hong Kong, and lastly, to New York. Vince has a strong interest in planes and was super appreciative to have the opportunity to navigate and fly the plane simulator. Great work Vince!

Angus recently competed in the 2023 Tathra Wharf to Waves swimming event.  Angus competed in the men's 18-29 age category 600 metre swim, where he placed 4th! Well done and exceptional effort Angus!

The 2023 celebration is unique, as for the first time the Sydney Mardi Gras are hosting WorldPride. WorldPride is a global LGBTQIA+ festival that has been staged since 2000 with countries competing to host the event.

Residents and staff in one of our Hunter homes have also created an artwork tracing and painting their hands. Those involved say this artwork represents all of us acknowledging and working together to create change in the lives of the Stolen Generation and their descendants.

In our Hunter Region, staff have finished creating an artwork for the office, acknowledging National Apology Day. Our Hunter staff have added their handprints to the canvas and reflected on why the Apology is important to them, stimulating those important conversations.

Monday 13th February was National Apology Day. This is an important day to reflect on the trauma suffered by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples, and mark the anniversary of the National Apology to the Stolen Generations.

Gavin recently participated in the annual Bull Ride at the 2023 Cobargo Show Rodeo for the fifth year in a row. Gavin was definitely a crowd favourite, and as a result was awarded the Oscar Salway Memorial Buckle, donated by the Salway family. Congratulations Gav!
