(Correct me if I'm wrong) The size estimates indicate a sub-adult/adult Tyrannosaur attacking a adult Edmontosaurus.

"A fossil like this is extra exciting because it captures a behavior: a tyrannosaur biting into this duckbill’s face... The skull shows no signs of healing around the tyrannosaur tooth, so it may have already been dead when it was bitten, or it may be dead because it was bitten.”

While fossil indicating/showing signs of altercation/attacks aren't necessarily rare, finding a fossil with a tooth embedded in it on the other hand is! In the words the Museum of the Rockies' Curator of Paleontology John Scannella:

In 2005, a nearly intact Edmontosaurus skull was found in the fossil hotspot in Montana, the Hell Creek Formation. This specimen was discovered to have a Tyrannosaurs embedded in its nasal area, implying this giant duck-bill met its untimely end by the jaws of a Tyrant.

(i.e. female individuals which retain male traits) which has been seen in most earthlings including reptiles and aves) orrrrrr- I've been drawing her as a man for years. Tis never meant to be known unless mother nature wants it to be.

While she is meant to be a P. walkeri which has no evidence (as far as I'm aware) of sex dimorphism with their crests in particular, it still itches in the back of my mind; either my adored para has elevated testosterone making her have an extended crest---

With the debate whether Parasaurolophus cyrtocristatus is a separate species of para, an adolescent specimen or if it's a female variant of P. tubicen makes me question every art piece I've ever drawn of my character Chalice. --- [+ photos of my girl)

El Gallo Formation, 2026 My first major work of this year, this time I wanted to represent the Baja California Norte formation, El Gallo (México); this formation dates from the Late Cretaceous, from the Santonian to the Maastrichtian.

I was _so wrong_, and I'm happy with that. This specimen is NOT privately owned, but is curated and exhibited at the Geological Museum of the Sun Yat-Sen University . https://t.co/6Mu13Yleay
Like other Liaoning dinosaurs, Beipiaosaurus is known by a number of specimens, many in private hands. These specimens shows that it could have grown much larger than the holotype #theropoda #therizinosauria #beipiaosaurus source:douyin

Makes sense, tbh. Iguanodon had very robust front limbs with huge hands, and with muscle comes weight. I don't doubt they could rise up on their hidlimbs on ocassion, but them being largely quadrupeds checks out, imo. But seriously, what the hell is going on with Lurdusaurus?!
New paper on the capacities of #Iguanodon, #Ouranosaurus & #Lurdusaurus; which are all likely obligate quadrupeds, and Lurdusaurus was outright #graviportal! which fits nicely with my long held idea of it being ecologically analogous to the hippopotamus. https://t.co/ZilR21Qf2o
