My first bill passed the Senate today! We are one step closer to making the CODI Alert law. It is wonderful seeing the bipartisanship when it comes to making our kids safer.
I am truly humbled by the voters of the 24th District for putting your faith in me as your next State Senator. I could not have done this without each and every one of you.
I just got off the phone with Senator Mason. I would like to take this opportunity to thank him for his years of service to the Peninsula. It is not easy being a public servant, and while we have disagreements, our democracy is strong when we all come together for our community.
I have no intention of being a do nothing Senator. We need to dismantle “blue brick wall” between us, but if there has to be a barrier, let’s make it a picket fence with a gate so we can have conversations with each other and get the job done for all Virginians.
Today represents a critical opportunity for positive change in Richmond. We now have the chance to bring common sense back to our city and pave the way for a brighter future.
Polls are open until 7 PM. Go vote!
Republican control of the General Assembly runs right through Senate District 24.

My opponent’s campaign is in total free-fall and he’s desperate. As a result, he’s decided to lie to voters about my position on abortion and healthcare.
I’m running for State Senate because I believe in leaving my community better than I found it.
That’s why I’ve dedicated my career to public service - and I’m just getting started! Join Team Diggs at
I’m running for State Senate to bring some common sense leadership to Richmond. From cutting taxes, to improving education and cracking down on crime - there’s a lot of work to be done!
The cost of basic goods is still going up, and inflation is still crushing Virginia families. The politicians who got us into this mess won’t get us out. Time for a change - join Team Diggs!
Reckless spending and high taxes pushed by politicians like Sen. Monty Mason is why we’re paying too much for everything from gas to groceries. We all have to live within our budget and our means to get ahead, our government must do the same.
You are absolutely right Monty. My team is a yard sign machine! If you are interested in being a part of this machine, please fill out this google doc and we will be happy get you a sign!

@SenMMason
voted to allow crimes like drug dealing, stalking, and sexual battery in schools to go unreported to police. As someone who spent a career in law-enforcement, I can’t fathom why anyone would take a soft approach to protecting kids at school.
DIGGS TO RUN FOR SENATE
Many of you have heard the news and asked what you can do to help…You can visit my website (for volunteer opportunities) at and/or … to make a donation. Thank you I’m advance for your support! ❤️🤍💙🇺🇸
What a great event in Chesapeake! So many people came out to support Virginia Senator John Cosgrove. I had the pleasure of visiting with him, Senator Jen Kiggans who is running for the 2nd Congressional District, and Mrs. Shirley Forbes & many other supporters.

I’ve been blessed to call Virginia home my entire life, and I believe it's my responsibility to leave the Commonwealth in a better place than I found it. It’s that simple.
It is beyond disturbing that
@SenMMason
continues to lie regarding his involvement in his fraternity's slave auctions while he was president. He should come clean. See my full statement below.
Barely a week after my opponent ,
@SenMMason
was caught red-handed calling parental rights “garbage” Loudoun Co parents were intimidated & threatened by radical activists, just because they cared about their kids’ education.
Earlier this week I had the privilege to meet with the Newport News Republicans Committee. I updated on them on what’s happening and the excitement and momentum of

Sure, we’ve got a lot of work to do, but we’re not letting our foot off the gas one bit between now and November. Not when the safety of our communities is at stake.

Virginia needs common-sense, conservative leadership to solve the tough challenges we face today. We’ve seen what happens when Democrats are in charge…let’s not go down that road again.
Whether it’s cutting the grocery tax, lowering income taxes, or advocating for teacher pay raises, I’m always talking about how Senate Democrats are delivering for you — just ask my girls!
This is not ok. The left shouldn’t be demonizing parents who just want a say in their kids’ education. As state senator, I’ll always work with parents AND educators to do what’s best for our kids.
22 years ago, our country was attacked. We lost nearly 3,000 souls that day - All patriotic Americans who were just looking to go to work and then go home again. They - and the heroic first responders who rushed to provide aid - will never, ever be forgotten.
Thank you to everyone who attended my retirement meet and greet yesterday. It has been the honor and privilege of a lifetime to have served as your Sheriff.

Thank you to all of the people who took time out of their busy day to come to my office Grand Opening yesterday! You could feel the energy in the room!
Another disappointing session from Monty Mason. He opposed lowering gas prices and voted to allow more violent criminals on our streets.
In the Senate, I will cut the gas tax and support common sense initiatives to keep more violent criminals in jail and out of our neighborhoods
🔴Record-high gas prices
🔴Record-high inflation
🔴Reckless government spending
🔴The list goes on
I don’t think Virginians want anymore “Bidenomics” to trickle down to the Commonwealth. They’ve had enough!
Sheriff Diggs had a great time at the York Chamber of Commerce Business After Hours event at Atlantic Union Bank. Chris Davidson is a Past President of the York Chamber of Commerce and Sheriff Diggs has been a member since its inception.
I will be going toe-to-toe with Sen. Monty Mason THIS THURSDAY night in a candidate forum hosted by the York County Chamber of Commerce. Doors open at 6!
Our hearts reach out to those impacted by the needless violence in Chesapeake yesterday. We send our thoughts and prayers to those who were wounded and are being treated, as well as the families of those that were lost.

@SenMMason
can’t stand on his record, so he is lying about mine…that’s how I know he’s getting desperate. My positions are available for everyone to see:
From my family to yours, we wish everyone a very Merry Christmas on this special day. To anyone celebrating Hanukah, we extend our warmest wishes for a happy and prosperous celebration as well. Wishing everyone the best this holiday season.
In Richmond, I’ll fight to:
✅Protect the Norfolk Naval Base and Joint Base Langley-Eustis
✅Protect the rights of the people in Hampton Roads to set the policy that impacts THEM!
I run into voters all over this district who are concerned about the economy. It’s one of their top concerns - pretending like it’s not an issue does them a disservice. In Richmond, I will support every tax cut that returns money back to the people.
25TH ANNUAL SENIORS & LAW ENFORCEMENT TOGETHER
Sheriff Diggs, along with representatives from other local LE and community agencies, signed a cooperative agreement w/ the AG this morning. The agreement commits to work together to enhance the quality of life of older persons.
Too many Virgnians still struggle with sky-high healthcare bills at the doctor’s office and the pharmacy. A one-size-fits all approach will not work. The best way to cut prices is to increase competition - not grow the government.
.
@SenMMason
is lying about me to distract from his own radical record. In fact, he co-sponsored legislation in the Senate that was nearly identical to a bill in the House of Delegates that would have allowed abortion all the way up to 40 weeks.

I had the pleasure of joining Lt. Gov.
@WinsomeSears
and Del.
@AmandaBatten6
recently at the Virginia Peninsula Regional Jail (VPRJ). The Lt. Gov. did a great job encouraging graduates of the WAITT program to help them find a viable path forward in their recovery upon release.
Education in the Commonwealth should be led by local communities who:
a) listen to parents
b) have children’s best interests at heart.
It’s really that simple.
Thanks to Beans Ice Cream in Poquoson for hosting “Cones and Cops.” Many people turned out to enjoy great ice cream and meet with local law enforcement officers and firefighters. The kids had a great time! Thanks to the Poquoson Police Foundation for paying for the ice cream.
Sheriff Diggs would like to thank this young man for stopping by today to drop off treats for the deputies and staff. This should keep them going thru the weekend. 😊
When I’m in Richmond, I’ll do everything in my power to make law enforcement feel supported here in the Commonwealth. I know from experience how important that is.
@SenMMason
It’s no surprise that
@SenMMason
, who voted to allow crimes against our kids at school to go unreported to police thinks parents shouldn’t have a say.
It’s time for a change. I will put parents first.
My position is very clear and it’s available for everyone to see on my website. I support Gov. Youngkin’s proposal to allow abortion up to 15 weeks, with exceptions for rape, incest, and saving the life of the mother.
As you travel around the Commonwealth this summer, I hope you’ll pause to appreciate the beauty of our coastline, rivers, and waterways. Their preservation is essential not just for our economy, but also public safety.
I got my start in law enforcement as a Poquoson Police dispatcher when I was 19. From there, I worked my way up the ranks. I’m no stranger to hard work in the service of my community. I’ll take that mentality to Richmond.

I am proud to have the endorsements of so many leaders from my hometown, Poquoson. We are working every day to take back the Senate.
Together, we will cut taxes and make our communities safe.

Thanks to open-border and soft-on-crime policies, the fentanyl crisis is out of control in Virginia. We can’t get that under control until we fix the border crisis, so I commend Governor Youngkin for taking action.
The ongoing border crisis facing our nation has turned every state into a border state. Virginia will do its part to assist
@GregAbbott_TX
’s efforts with the coordinated deployment of National Guard soldiers to assist in key aspects of their mission.
This is why local elections matter. Virginians will get a break in their power bills thanks, in part, to actions taken by the General Assembly to help ease the economic burdens many are facing right now.
I understand the importance of fiscal responsibility and efficiency. In Richmond I’ll fight to trim government waste, cut taxes, and return your hard-earned dollars where they belong: your pocket.
