This order of paying off debts means people who have not received their Thomas products yet will probably get nothing.

When a company goes bankrupt, everything it owns is sold and the money is used to pay off debts. First the banks are paid off, then employees and the government, then suppliers and people who they owe products, and lastly the people who owned the company.

Note that even though this is regarding a non-Thomas product, the final sentence would still apply. Even if they have a Thomas and they owe you one they can't legally send it to you. It will be (probably) be sold to pay off debts.

"We don't have your product. The manufacturer doesn't have your product. Even if they did, they wouldn't send it to us because we can't pay them. Even if we did have your product, we couldn't send it to you because it's now part of the bankruptcy estate.".

Japanese residents who CoolProps owe products to have received court letters informing them of the company's bankruptcy. The letter informs them that they will not receive the product they ordered, but that they can file a claim to *maybe* get *some* of their money back.

CoolProps going bankrupt is wild. Feel bad for everyone who lost money, their products weren't cheap.

If others think he's worth it and have the means to pay, fair enough. I hope he's won by a member of the fandom who has a deep love of the show and treats him well, as opposed to some prop collector hoping to resell for profit one day.

Haha I actually haven't bid on anything (yet). It would be nice to own a little piece of the model series, but I set the maximum I would be willing to spend on anything ahead of time and Arthur in particular is waaay past that amount.

You guys be buying Thomas props instead of putting a down payment on a home.

The props would've been properly preserved, accessible to all, and the Railway Museum would have a major draw card added to their collection. Was this ever considered? If not, why not? And if so, why didn't it happen?.
