These kinds of questions show forward thinking and that you want to be a part of the solution for the org. Then you can find some bits and pieces in the responses to get excited about and offer to help. This will demonstrate your ability to both embrace change and add value.

I would ask: 1. What are the biggest opportunities for the new org over the next 5 years? 2. What are the biggest challenges of the merger? 3. How would you like the culture of the organization to transform after the merger?  4. What are the priorities for the coming year?
