Millions of American families spend more than 25% of their income on child care, but many are on waiting lists or live in child care deserts — forcing them to make tough decisions.

In Wisconsin, there’s just 1 daycare spot available for every 3 kids. That’s considered a childcare desert & 51% of the country lives in one. We followed two mothers who decided to take action when the only child care center in their neighborhood shut down. @megoliver reports.
In addition to rising costs, more than half the country lives in a child care desert, where there is little or no access to child care. Two mothers in Wisconsin took matters into their own hands and decided to open their own day care.
