So, did the Web3 skeptic become a full convert? Not entirely, but the curiosity is definitely there now. My understanding has gone from 0 to💯! This BlockCert journey taught me so much, and the project isn't over. On to the next challenge, stronger and smarter. 💪🚀 #BlockDAG

... with incredible people. It was learning that sometimes, the biggest wins are the lessons you didn't expect to gain.

We didn't make the top 3. And honestly, that stings.🥲 But maybe the real prize wasn't on the stage at all. It was diving into a new framework under immense pressure. It was the raw, unfiltered experience of building something from nothing. It was connecting with....

Despite the pressure, I walked on that stage, took a deep breath, and poured everything into explaining BlockCert. The room clapped when I finished. I looked at the judges, bracing myself for the tough questions... and they just said, 'No questions. Thank you.' Wawwu😶🥹

The last few hours were a blur. Instead of refining our product, I was deep in the trenches, trying to debug, and salvage what we could.🥺 I jotted down my presentation notes on my phone between frantic coding sessions. Couldn't even revised as much as I had wanted to.🥲

But hackathons are unpredictable. 😬 We hit a major wall: Our smart contract dev went MIA, and the code refused to run, just hours to pitch time. I was the only tech person left, barely two days into learning Next.js 😭 Omo from one table to another, from one laptop to another.

My team and I worked on BlockCert. A platform to put academic achievements on the blockchain, making them permanent and instantly verifiable. The first 24 hours felt cool. I was diving into Next.js, and the frontend was coming to life faster than I expected. The vision was clear

Then, over the weekend, I participated in @BlockDAGNG hackathon organised at @IlorinHub. Oh, my God!!🤭 It was so much fun!🎉 Every minute of it was packed with learning, challenges, and excitement, the kind of experience that reminds you why you chose tech in the first place.

On the other hand, I was never a Web3 person 🥲. People do tell me "You should check out the field..." Ehyyy😭, have you seen their terms (decentralised, NFTs and all)?! I don't get them it honestly sounded like Chinese 🥲 But look who's participating in a web3 Hackathon now🤭

Physical hackathons, have always been something I looked forward to.🥹 I've watched it in movies, how teams will come together to build, run coding sprints, no sleep, lots of coffees. It feels so fun... 🤭 Attending (and one day, organizing) one has always been on my wishlist.

Sometimes, patience isn’t about waiting quietly, it’s about trusting Allah’s timing when your heart wants to rush. It’s choosing to stay firm even when the world pulls you toward shortcuts. Hold on, stay patient, and keep your obedience only for Allah. #quranreminder
