Thank you Jakir, for inviting me to join you at Exeter Mosque for lunch to raise money for the Garden on Eden project. The project is raising funds to build the first purpose built Muslim burial site in the South West. I learnt a great deal about your Islamic culture. Thank you.

Thank you to Exmouth NCI Coastwatch for hosting my visit today. It was wonderful to learn about the great job the watchkeepers do all year to keep people safe as well as learning about the idiosyncrasies of the waters and sand banks around the mouth of the river Exe. Well done.

It was a real privilege to be invited by Plymouth Community Homes to the North Prospect completion celebration event today. A fantastic project which has changed the face and feel of that part of The Ocean City. Well done to all those involved for a wonderful achievement.

A most informative visit to Janner Men's Shed in Plymouth today. A great initiative to give people who may be lonely, depressed or finding life difficult something to do and companionship in a freindly, caring envioronment. Thank you all who support such a worthwhile endeavour.

An extremely interesting visit to NCI Prawle Point yesterday to learn how they keep a close watch not only on those on the water but also on those walking the coast path as well as some of the mammals in the sea. Thank you to Phil, Peter and Richard and all who support the NCI.

A great pleasure to attend the opening of the Rifles Garden by Deputy Mayor of Torbay Cllr Barbara Lewis and meet so many of the Rifles community serving, retired and cadets as well as their families. The Salamanca Band who entertained us so magnificently. Thanks to all involved.

Interesting day spent with HS of Cornwall at D&C Police HQ Middlemore. Enjoyed meeting Gus, a general service Police dog and seeing him put through his paces as well learning about other aspects of policing. What a great job D & C police do every day on our behalf. Thank you.
