I’ve seen some straight up dogs that were short cornerbacks. You know what else they were? Anomalies. Very special athletically and very tough individuals. If you 5’9” and a 4.6 40, I don’t care how technically sound you are, you’re at a disadvantage in high level ball.

I’ve thought this as well. Probably a large source of culture shock for many coming to the US among other factors.
It’s deeper than that. In their home countries people who look like us don’t have this spotlight & get hidden by them because they consider them “undesirables” while in America Negro Americans are everywhere & that frustrates them like no other. They want their caste systems here
