Overall I’ll end it with while I had fun and I didn’t by any means hate the con I def came away with some complaints and thinking I might be switching away from going to fwa every year just because unless changes are made it’s just not offering what I want out of a con now. Cont-.

Quite literally my whole day just trying to see different things and it basically left me no options to even suit which for someone who just loves going out and trying to make friends and leave a positive impact on people felt kind of crummy tbh. Cont-.

I’m usually someone who suits 5 hours every day of the con I only suited two times both Saturday for about 3 hours each and both times trying to get to con space and back to my room was so bad I just was like fuck it tbh. Combine that with Friday basically being in line cont-.

I also know many suiters myself included didn’t even suit as much this year just because of the hellish situation that was well everything involving leaving and getting back to your room. While I’m not sure how the Marriott was the Hilton which I stayed in was absolutely awful -.

You essentially were just inside a massively crowded space you couldn’t even enjoy. The con did try and adapt and overcome as fwa is known to do but it unfortunately can come to little to late for a lot of people and that was a sentiment I heard around the con a lot. Cont-.

Be it to the elevator lines to even just the simple lines that happened for well just about any possible event. I know a lot of people myself included who essentially just said fuck the events and main attractions because by the time you got through a massive line cont-.

While I do commend the con and the issues it had to deal with size wise being no joke and a logistical nightmare it was a shame to see a con I’d been going to for 10 years basically become for lack of a better term tense. There was some real tension in the air cont-.

So with me firmly back in my home with my comfy boy I’ll say what I thought about fwa this year. Overall fun but mainly for the people not so much the con itself. I will say there was a good panel lineup this year but what good is that when you can’t get to them. Continued🧵.
