Symptom resolution during acute covid is often times not a linear process, but it waxes and wanes and that symptom relapse is not unexpected even without treatment and is only very rarely connected with viral rebound. It’s important to keep this context in mind when interpreting.

no antiviral treatment. Key findings:.a) 1 in 4 participants showed symptom rebound.b) 1 in 8 participants showed high level viral rebound.c) Presence of both symptom and high-level viral rebound is uncommon (<3%).
