I had a section in Copaganda about how the New York Times cooks up its "major changes" propaganda. It's a lie: no one at NYT thinks policing in the U.S. underwent any significant changes. No politician or reporter can name a single one--I've asked! Extremely unethical reporting.
writing for the NYT is great because it requires you either make shit up or have the memory of a goldfish. 2024 was the highest year for police killings in recorded history and police killings have only ticked up since George Floyd. There was no "major changes," just better PR
