As we conclude our Staff Spotlight for National Emergency Management Awareness Month, we would be remiss if we did not recognize the solid contributions of our Administrative Volunteer, Jarren Ringle. Check out how he has been a vital asset to the office and our residents!

Jecy is currently strengthening our office's KSAs by attending the Basic Inland Search & Rescue Course at the Cuyahoga Valley National Park. Just another way your EMA Team is working to keep our residents safe and our 1st responders informed and equipped!

Good morning, Delaware County! Remember that many of our county school districts start back this week. Please leave extra time, have patience, and be aware of buses and children while driving. #clickthepic for a reminder of when to stop for a school bus. Welcome back, students!

Thanks to @Ohio_EMA for snapping this picture of the @EMAOHIO Central Sector emergency managers at their meeting this morning, sharing ideas, news, and networking with other EMs in the region. We use these opportunities to identify things to further enhance our program at home.
The @EMAOHIO Central Sector members met this morning and we took the opportunity to snap this great picture! Happy Emergency Management Awareness Month! #PartnersInPreparedness #EMAproud

Can you believe school is almost ready to start? Please be aware of stopped school buses, speed limits in and near school zones, and children using crossings as our kiddos head back to school over the next couple of weeks. Best wishes for a great 2025-26 school year, students!

Happy Fan Drive Friday, Delaware County! Please keep 'em coming as we're doing great things together, but still have some hot days ahead of us. As of today, 231 families have felt your compassion in addition to a cool breeze. Thanks for continuing to step up for your neighbors!

This month highlights the work of your @DelCoEMA team, often unnoticed behind the scenes. We are the ones called 24/7/365 when incidents require coordination across multiple services, agencies, or disciplines, even beyond traditional public safety. We are your emergency managers.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by our table last night at the @CityofPowellOH National Night Out event. We had a great time partnering with all of our 1st responders, sharing a table with @DelCoco911 and Karla with DELCOMM, and discussing emergency preparedness.

Good morning and happy 1st Wednesday of the month, Delaware County! The outdoor tornado siren system is tested on the first Wednesday of each month at 12:01 PM. If severe weather is in the area, the monthly test will be cancelled.

Happy Fan Drive Friday, Delaware County - you're truly making an impact! So far, 216 families have received some relief from this summer's heat. We're 122 fans away from the goal, but that is just a number. The most important number is the total families served. Thank you!

The Delaware County LEPC conducted a functional exercise today in Orange Township with a simulated train derailment that challenged responders to mitigate a chemical spill, manage traffic and detours, and share information with the public. Many thanks to all who participated!
