Next we'll stop in the middle. Somewhere between the idea and the print, it lives a digital life. Here is a single 30-second exposure from last night.

Sometimes you have to start at the end. For me, it ended in blue light and warm breezes, as the International Space Station carved a luminous arc overhead—.a diamond drifting through twilight,.until it slipped gently into Earth’s shadow and vanished from view.

On a whim this morning, I grabbed my solar scope to take a look at the sun. It turned out to be quite active, so my morning turned into an imaging session. This is from around noon today.

No astrophotography that night. The clouds were solid, but then the night always finds its way to amaze. This night, the bridge looked red.

I was taking longer exposures to see if the aurora was around, but because I was right in front of the building, it made the surrounding trees look like red sentinels. So, here is the "red guard" making their salute to dark skies. @SuttleLodge

The Milky Way was pretty clear when I stepped out to see if there was aurora. This is what it looks like when our galaxy meets the Northern Lights.

Stopped posting here but I get tired of the ads in my face saying no one will see anything unless I shell out cash. Not enough demonstrable value here to justify that. For those who this does reach, this is from the lodge my wife and I stayed at for our 28-year anniversary.f

And the last thin slice of sunshine slips behind the fog, not with a green flash, but a whimper.

My friend, I don't see much of the bridge from my place. But when I do see, I do see something quite beautiful and interesting.
