Having spent years writing in the post-apocalyptic genre, including 2 trilogies, I know have first had knowledge of what it's like to have no electric, TV, gas, or internet due to a storm in Portugal and not to be prepared. You'd think I'd have learned to prepare, lol.

I feel good today. I asked AI for a critical review of my WIP. I may have a winner. I cannot think of another show like it - a harsh, brutal police procedural that is also hilarious. Now, if I could just team up with a real screenwriter?

Just watched the Netflix series, Runaway, based on Harlen Coben's thriller novel. It's made me realize just how high the bar must be to get a thriller published. Astounding. Now I need to read the book

Do you think the rabid pursuit of wealth by industry and investors has caused the drop in birthrate, with both partners having to work to live, unlike in the 50s? Or do you think it's because of the birth control pill and vasectomies giving people more choice?

In this age of audiobooks, do you think italics for thought in your novel will adequately translate without sounding like dialogue unless you ditch the italics and add "he thought, or he imagined?" Just a thought. Interested in your views;

Thought for today Put a 100 red ants in a bottle with 100 black ants and nothing will happen. Shake the bottle and they will try to kill each other, when really they should be asking, who is the enemy shaking the bottle? ergo Left v right, black v white, religion v religion, etc.
