I echo everything that has been said here. For us to be more inclusive, we still need to shift our mindset. I shuddered reading some of the replies to the original tweet and it proves we still have a long way to go in understanding, accepting and integrating people living with.
As the parent of an autistic child I read with shock and sadness some of the comments to the tweet below. There were comments saying that the boy should have been beaten with belt and slapped. One even said he should have been locked up at home. There is so much to unpack from.
