It appears that not even Danielle Smith is expecting a pipeline in tomorrow's Major Projects of Super-Duper Nation-Building Importance announcement from Carney. (may have something to do with not Alberta applying for it yet)
Here is the latest statement from the office of Alberta Premier Danielle Smith, re: Carney's major projects list. They don't directly say a pipeline is not included but it sounds more likely an MOU is coming first... #ableg #cdnpoli

From opening during the pandemic amid permit delays and years of Fort Road construction, to the cost of beef doubling โ the Transit Smokehouse and BBQ's owner says the past 4 years have been the hardest he's ever faced in the restaurant industry. #yeg

A series of 'one catastrophe after another' has prompted the Transit Smokehouse and BBQ to ask Edmontonians to bring their support to the Fort Road restaurant.

What a ridiculous statement. If you think about all the progress thatโs happened in Canada since the 1940s, I am pretty sure most Canadian soldiers would be amazed by what Canada has become.
Canadian soldiers did not fight in the World Wars for what Canada has become. They would be horrified and ashamed of this god forsaken place.

You haven't earned a damned thing, dude. No one cares about how many followers you have. You could have millions and your opinions could still be worthless. The only time you had any clout, you blew it crying about Ana Poilievre & embarrassed Danielle Smith. You're old news.
@stevenliptonhfx That explains why you have 375 followers and I have 15,000. I have earned the right to say what I think. Few care what you say at all.

Decoration Day, Armistice Day and Remembrance Day have all been days to honour Canada's veterans. For a time, our day of remembrance fell on the same day as Thanksgiving. But Remembrance Day as we know it has been celebrated 1931. This is the story. Before there was ever an

If you haven't seen Predator: Badlands, I'd highly recommend you do. It's like last year's Alien: Romulus, in that it breathes new life into the series by people who live, eat, and breathe the storytelling.

The fact is, any time a character in a movie like this shows depth, exploring their emotions & grappling with deconstructing the worldview that he has, people like the OP are going to make this tired criticism to cry about women. It's incel behaviour. It's fucking weak.

In Badlands, Dek is fucking badass. He's swinging through trees, jumping into the fray without hesitation, himself an unstoppable force. But it's when he uses his intellect to create weapons from the Death planet around him that he truly *ascends*, becoming 'the Predator.'

The entire film series, up and down, is this question of, "when the chips are down and you're met with an unstoppable force, is your only weapon left - your mind - good enough?" And every Predator film, IMO, is about this "brains over brawn" question.

But what makes Badlands a Predator movie, a *true* Predator movie, is when - like Naru before him, going all the way back to Schwarznegger's 'Dutch' in the first film - Dek uses his intellect to create the tools & weapons he needs to defeat his enemies.

Like the Comanche warrior Naru in Prey, the Yaujta - named Dek - faces new, strange enemies who tests him on his hunt. And like in Prey - and in arguably every Predator movie - the hero must ally with potential threats - the French colonizer in Prey, & Thia the synth in Badlands.

First, Predator: Badlands feels like a mirror to Tratchenberg's 2022 film Prey- with a young warrior who wants to earn respect from their tribe/clan, who decides to take on greater challenges to prove their worth. If you've seen both movies, there's definite callbacks.

This is a profoundly bad take, and as someone who loves the Predator series (more than Alien, but not by much), let me tell you why this is a bad take. Predator: Badlands Spoilers below!
Predator Badlands perfectly demonstrates how The Great Feminization has destroyed culture. The Predator is guided by a female character on an emotional journey, helping him become vulnerable, get in touch with his feelings and choose friendship over family.

At 10:57 a.m. on Nov. 11, 1918, George Lawrence Price stepped out into a village street in Belgium. As he did, a German sniper shot him in the chest. He died one minute later and became the last Canadian soldier to die in the First World War. This is his story. Price was born
