Analyzing first aid in textbooks used by students in Nepal ( https://t.co/A2Clf3YRes) showed persistent teaching of harmful snakebite first aid in this country. Therefore, urgent attention is needed for improving texts books containing first aid of snakebite.

Our NHRC-funded research work has been published (DOI: https://t.co/KQ4sFn0LBi). It is my new domain of research in the field of health economics. This is the most comprehensive study in Nepal yet to quantify the costs of snakebites and to know the impact of snakebite in Nepal.

https://t.co/zQ7eoM7wYJ: The litter size of a rear-fanged E. enhydris involved in snakebite in Nepal suggested remarkably higher reproductive potentiality than those reported from Myanmar, Thailand, and India with no ill-effects of its bite to humans.

Ignorance kills. This incident is from Wardha. In an inebriated state, the person is handling the highly venomous Common krait assuming it is the non venomous rat snake. Needless to say, he lost his life the same night while being treated in the hospital.
