I know how fortunate I am to see these evenings, this time 5 years ago, I was getting ready to begin my chemo journey. I was getting ready at home thinking ‘how much longer have I’ It is a hard weary journey, with poor outcomes, but I’m one of the lucky ones
#pancreaticcancer
4 years ago tomorrow is a date I will never forget!as it is when I got my diagnosis at 8.45pm on 7th December. At the time hearing the word
#cancer
was a fright but with
#pancreatic
in front of it was when I thought ‘game over’ thankfully I’m able to tell my story
#neverlosehope
If Pamela Deasy got her cancer diagnosis 10 years earlier, she’s sure she wouldn’t be here today, and that’s why she says Breakthrough Cancer Research, marking its 10th year, needs to be supported.
Today 5 years ago, I had my 1st
#chemo
session for
#pancreaticcancer
. The first line of treatment did not work ☹️ what a journey since! a few highs, a lot of lows. Life throws us all challenges at times, but it is how you deal with them 🤔

#Cancerversary
🥳
The time has arrived 🫣 the adventure begins in 2 days time 🥳 don’t know what’s ahead of me 🤷🏼♀️ but I will give it my best shot! Life after

There is still time to donate:
The eve of

I have a lot to be thankful for! 1st pic of me in Oct 2018 and next one is me today, nearly 7 stone lighter!! I never post pics of myself but this is to highlight my
#cancer
journey. This is for all the brave warriors fighting the battle👊🏻
2 years ago this week I got my cancer diagnosis!! after chem, followed with combined radiotherapy & chemo, then surgery on 15th August 2019, I am here ready for the season ahead cancer free 🙏🏻 looking forward to Christmas this year even if only going from kitchen to front room 😊
Day 9/100 of
#100daysofwalking
and finished my walk with a swim on the beach. I love all the facilities here for walking, especially all the lovely clean beach loos, how exciting my life is! but after
#whipple
surgery, this causes me the most anxiety

#goodforthesoul
What a day! Just had my last lecture 📚 of term, and all good with my
#scanresults
, six months time again before
#scanxiety
will kick in 🤞🏻🙏🏻
Off for another walk on this beautiful Thursday evening, and will think of all those on the cancer rollercoaster, and how fortunate I am.
Steps in early, still not feeling great, & antibiotics play havoc on my system 🤢 no College today, fire and couch for the evening, what a day now 🫣☔️🌧️💨☔️ something to brighten up a Tuesday day

Hopefully my story in this week’s
@SouthernStarIRL
will give those on the

#hope
. The road was never straightforward & many a detour along the way 🫣 but
#research
is the way forward, now I’ve joined the

to have a say as patient voice

and not much walking done today, bar quick walk around the pier when I got home. I’m so physically tired today 💤
but tomorrow is a new day 🤗
#homesweethome
My
#100daysofwalking
was stopped abruptly with a tumble down the stairs, 14 days ago today. Physio & gentle walking on the cards for the week ahead, then I will begin the final three weeks again🚶🏻♀️
🧵1/2 Day 32/100 days of walking and a hospital stay for a few days curtailed my walks, but I walked the corridors when I got a chance between tests 🫣
#100daysofwalking
I am now in training as I have signed up for ….
Day 92
#day92
of
#100daysofwalking

Day 73
#day73
of
#100daysofwalking

Day8/100 and a different venue again today for
#100daysogwalking
@NTBreakfast

#walking
is good for bone density 🩻 and hoping a bit of ☀️ will help too 🤞🏻
#100daysofwalking
so week 3 down, and beginning week 4, miserable weather, so shorter walks for me this week, over 100km’s walked so far 👊🏻
