It’s been… Fours years since I last tweeted here I think with all the tech advances since, it might be time to reinvigorate this project Not for Web3 but for deaf communities worldwide It’s time to start advancing deaf technology and here is where we start

We are looking forward to working with companies worldwide to develop more accessible solutions within their products and services for deaf communities in 2023 Advancing the Deaf Community is our sole aim If this is something you’d like to help us with, do get in touch with us!

Additionally, DeafHandz will work with organisations to create inclusive environments and policies that support the needs of deaf individuals. 12/13

The consultancy will also provide guidance on how to make products and services more accessible to deaf individuals & communities 11/13

This will include developing AI-powered sign language recognition systems, as well as other innovative technologies. 10/13

DeafHandz is A Deaf innovation consultancy led by a deaf founder focusing on helping organisations to develop and implement technology and other solutions that can benefit deaf individuals and communities. 9/13

This led to the formation of DeafHandz Ltd, a private company limited by shares. But what does DeafHandz Ltd do? 8/13

Taking this opportunity would mean that web3 should not be our sole focus right now. Instead, targeting tech companies worldwide seems a much more fruitful approach 7/13

With technology advancing so swiftly, it made little sense that there was still so little accessibility being built within products and services technology companies were innovating…this means there is an opportunity waiting to be exploited IRL & in Big Tech 6/13

When he spoke to his deaf peers about Web3, many had no idea what it was and many were still struggling with finding access in Web2 & IRL. 5/13

Whilst many in web3 tout “accessibility”, our founder @theuberhuman struggled to see any accessibility being built with deaf people in mind. Frustrated by this, he wanted to create an NFT project that could put deaf community and culture on the map in Web3 4/13

In the beginning, DeafHandz was created with the purpose of building an identity for deaf communities in web3 but as we delved deeper, we realised there was a lot of work still needing to be done in Web2 & IRL 3/13
