Grief belongs. Anger belongs. Fear belongs. Reaching out to everything and everyone you love belongs. Visioning another world belongs. Slowness and cycling through many feelings both belong. Numbness, disbelief, and "I knew it" all belong. Gentleness belongs. Love belongs.

Love this. "Hard Sell" stories I've sold: _ Begins when MC wakes up from a dream (have at least 2 writing books that say you can't do that) _ 2nd person POV (spoiler, I'm not Jay McInerney) _ No "compelling" MC, no MC at all _ No plot, just vibes. TLDR: Trust your vision.
Let's talk hard sells. How many stories have you sold with so-called "forbidden" elements? I'll start: -begins with MC waking up: 5 -begins with a paragraph describing setting: 5 -2nd person POV: 11 -present tense: 15 -"no plot"/vague POV: 18 What am I missing? 👻
