The two Dayton Police Department Officers who are part of the the US Marshals Southern Ohio Fugitive Apprehension Task Force attended the funeral for Deputy US Marshal Thomas Weeks Monday in Charlotte, NC.
The Dayton Police Department is asking for help in locating a missing 12 year old. Tevin Bittner was last seen on May 5, 2024, at approximately 6:00 p.m. in the 1700 block of Gummer Avenue.

Today marked the 17th annual Montgomery County Law Enforcement Memorial Ceremony, which was held at Riverscape Metro Park to honor and remember the officers from around the county who lost their lives in the line of duty. We thank them always for their service and sacrifice.
At the Montgomery County Police Memorial Ceremony DPD unveiled 4 new motorcycles. These motorcycles are in remembrance of the last 4 DPD Officers who died in the line of duty. Detective Jorge DelRio, Officer Mary Beall, Officer Jason Grossnickle, & Officer William 'Steve' Whalen
We remember: Patrolman Sherman Nowlin. He was killed when his patrol car was struck by a train at the East Fifth Street railroad crossing while he and his partner chased a stolen car. His partner survived the crash.

Today marked the 36th Ohio Peace Officers Memorial Ceremony. This is from London, Ohio at the Ohio Peace Officer Training Academy.
This year’s ceremony paid special tribute to nine Ohio law enforcement officers who died in the line of duty between 2020 and 2023.
