We are celebrating #IndependentLiving Movement Leader Joyce Ardell Jackson for #BlackHistoryMonth. Joyce was a Black disabled woman who helped get Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act passed by taking over government offices and advocating in Washington, DC. #DayleMcIntoshCenter

Today for #BlackHistoryMonth we are celebrating Black #IndependentLiving Leader Bradley Lomax, who was a Black man with Multiple Sclerosis (MS). He helped found the East Oakland CIL with the Black Panthers who later supported the Rehabilitation Act sit-ins. #DayleMcIntoshCenter
